Title: A deeper understanding of the evolutionary phylogeny of M. tuberculosis

Abstract: Knowledge is not equally advanced from one lineage to another of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Lineage 2 and some sublineages of lineage 4, for example, have a high degree of refinement beyond the fourth sublineage level, whereas other lineages have very few defined sublineages. This fragmented understanding leads to many grey areas and a relative knowledge of the diversity of M. tuberculosis, which requires further development. In this work, we propose a deeper understanding of lineage 4.7, and point out how other lineages (4.5, 5 and 6) can also be better detailed.
